2. In short
This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking or advertising services and loads no third-party content. Fonts, images and scripts are hosted on our own web space.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. When you visit, the server processes technically necessary data in log files: IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version. The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Hostinger processes this data as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR); any processing outside the EEA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Cookie-free audience measurement
To understand how often the site is visited and how often donation and request links are used, we count page views and clicks with our own counter on our server. Only aggregated daily totals are stored: event, language version, page and – if contained in the link you followed – the campaign source (e.g. “utm_source=instagram”). No IP addresses, device or browser identifiers or cookies are stored; individuals cannot be identified. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in data-minimising impact measurement).
5. Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply. Emails to kontakt@nightfallukraine.org are forwarded to a Google mailbox (Gmail, Google Ireland Limited).
6. Donations
Donations go directly to Ukrainischer Verein Mainz e.V., Sertoriusring 265, 55126 Mainz. We do not collect or process any payment or donor data. The Verein, your bank or PayPal are responsible for processing your transfer.
7. External links
This website links to external sites such as sources or the Verein. The respective provider receives your data only once you follow a link; their privacy policy applies.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
